Happy Holidays Honey xx

For Christmas we partnered with our friends at J.Friend & Co and put together a delectable assortment of honey for our clients - here's a snippet of how that came together. A huge thanks to everyone that supported us in 2019, we're looking forward to what 2020 has in store - it's going to be a biggie!


See below for a rundown of the flavours we selected:


CHUNKY

We hitchhiked to Rangiora in the middle of winter, trekked to the foothills of the Southern Alps and scaled Mt. Thomas, enduring thousands of bee stings to extract this raw honey comb. We hand cut it from the frame with a blunt knife and with no additional treatment or processing, sealed it in this jar laden with Beechwood Honeydew Honey.


We did all that so you could enjoy this on toast, pair it with cheese or just eat it from the jar. You lucky bastard!



POHUTUKAWA

Ahh… the Pohutukawa, our wee nation’s Christmas tree. When the bees on the Coromandel aren’t too busy getting stoned or surfing, they’re out collecting nectar from the Pohutukawa lining the coast. This honey with its floral nose and hint of saltiness complemented by a clean, earthy flavor resembles sweet butterscotch.

Pohutukawa + Coromandel + Butterscotch = Holy shit it’s like Christmas in your mouth!



HAZELNUTS

Hazelnuts: High in magnesium, calcium, vitamins B + E. Good for heart health, reduces the risk of cancer, aids in muscle, skin, bone, joint & digestive health.

Honey: Rich in antioxidants, lowers triglycerides & blood pressure.

..Or just put on cheese or ice cream. Fuck it, it’s Christmas!
